Getting compliments vs. Getting things done

Real leaders do not care about receiving credit and compliments.

If it is about your mission, about spreading the faith, about seeing something happen, not only do you not care about credit, you actually want other people to take credit…

There is no record of Martin Luther King, Jr, Walter Sisulu or Kgalema Motlanthe complaining about not getting credit, compliments, praise or applause.

Getting credit is not the point. Change is. Getting things done is.

The way to get things done is not to mind who gets credit for doing them. The best way to get things done and delivered is to let other people take the credit.

Never stop doing your best just because someone does not give you credit.
