We live in a world that assumes that in order for me to win, someone else must lose.
Certain people misguidedly think that power comes from putting others down.
People who put others down are doing it because of something lacking within themselves, not because of something lacking in the other person.
Jim Collins in his book Good to Great talks about Level 5 Leaders being leaders with fierce resolve and deep humility.
Level 5 leaders know that what matters is the humility to deal with people but at the same not compromise the quality of work. They aim high and are resolute to work with people who are work hard to achieve results.
There is so much power in humility, I wish people understood that.
Be humble but don’t settle for mediocrity.
You can achieve your results being humble but not settling for being average.
We rise by uplifting others.
A person who feels appreciated will always do more than expected.
You can’t build yourself up by tearing others down.
