Do what you want

Here is a blank page and pen, “do what you want.”

Those are the most scariest four words brought to us by the connection revolution.

Our natural response is “what do you want me to do, what do you want me to write?”

We response like this because we have been indoctrinated to follow rules, hence we ask so that we can follow instructions.

Hence when the boss is not at work, we wander around, when the teacher is not in class we sit and chat, because we are used to waiting for someone to tell us what to do, to show us the way.

We wait for someone to tell us to get back into the auditorium because the break is over even when we know the time the break ends.

The connection economy creates the platform for those who want to transcend from being consumers to being producers.

If you want to sing, sing.

If you want to lead, lead.

If you want to create, create.

If you want to touch, connect, describe, disrupt, give, support, build, question…. Do it.

You will not be picked. But if you want to pick yourself, go for it.

The cost is that you own the results, the take-out is that you may impact a few people positively.

Here is a blank page and pen, “do what you want.”
