The LORA Schools Entrepreneurship Camp is a four [4] days camp that teaches youth about being entrepreneurs and starting their own business. The idea is to explore entrepreneurship while promoting innovation and skill development.

The Camp comprises of: guest speaker sessions, masterclasses and pitching sessions.

Learners will learn how to develop an idea that solves a major social challenge, test the idea on a business model canvas, come up with a marketing plan and draft a financial budget.

Dates: Friday, 14 June to Monday, 17 June 2019

Delegates: 20 High School Students [Grade 10 – 12]

Cost: R1,500 per student [includes: 3 nights accommodation, meals and sessions]

Activities: Entrepreneurship Lessons [Entrepreneurship, Innovation,  Marketing, Budgeting etc], team work, pitching, games etc.

19:30 – 20:00 Welcome and Speakers Review agenda for the weekend. Introduction of speakers and coaches
20:00 – 20:30 Pitching of ideas Ideas to be adopted in the camp for the weekend
20:30 – 21:00 Voting Attendees vote for the top pitches
21:00 – 21:30 Form Teams Teams start forming and discussing ideas
09:30 – 00:00 Begin Work Start to formalise teams and take inventory of skills needed for the weekend. You may stay and work as late as midnight
